The Musqueam Youth Program delivers programming for older youth (ages 13+), focusing on leadership development, life skills, and community engagement. A key component of the program is structured athletic and recreational programming that supports youth engagement and development.
The program coordinator works closely with youth to design programming that reflects their interests, goals, and aspirations while creating meaningful mentorship opportunities. Responsibilities include coordinating volunteers, organizing guest speakers, planning outings, and supporting partnerships with UBC departments. The coordinator also plays a key role in fostering connections between youth, Elders, and the broader community, while supporting personal development areas such as confidence, goal setting, and academic engagement.
